"Porto", a Portuguese restaurant that located in Taipa, Macau. This is our first choice of portuguese restaurant after checked out from Macau airport. There are few website recommended their most famous roasted pork rice (葡式乳豬釀飯). The atmosphere of this restaurant can just rated as so-so, and we found that most of the folks, spoon and plate are covered with a little bit of dust. However, there are variety of foods and it is really delicious, so we don't really care of these small matters.
The restaurant space isn't that big, it has about 8 tables.
As you can see from the menu, there are variety of foods. I wanted to order their Pastéis de Bacalhau (馬介休球) & cheese baked soft shell crab. However, we are only 2 person went into this restaurant, the roasted pork rice alone can served up to 2-3 person. Therefore, we only order one roasted pork rice with 2 ice water.
The chef will roasts the marinade pork to medium cooked and keep it. Once customer order, they will roast the pork to 100% done.
This dish cost us MOP 138, with tax total amount is MOP 152.
The skin are crispy but the meat remains soft. Although 2 person can finish the rice but the pork are considered slightly too much to served for 2 person. This dish is really delicious, if you have chance to visit Macau, you should have a try.
