My first experienced with sushi zanmai was on April 2011 at Fahrenheit 88, KL. It was a friend's birthday celebration. This is the first japanese restaurant that provided a not spicy wasabi. So, during my KL & Malacca trip, we were dated with friend for gathering at Sushi Zanmai @ the gardens, KL. The free meal was totally sponsored by our friend, Eric H'ng.
4 of us went there around 5.30pm without any reservation. Therefore, we have to queue outside for around 20 mins. Sushi Zanmai, here I come. Frankly speaking, this sushi zanmai considered a little bit expensive compared to Penang Japanese restaurant. However, we had tasted sushi that never been seen from menu in Penang island.
Restoran Yosenabe, a Japanese steamboat shop located in Sungai Nibong, Penang. Friend always saying their steamboat is delicious and before i went there, I did some research through food blogs, rating quite good. Therefore, I put a high hope on it as this is the very first time I try Japanese steamboat in my life. I reached there about 7.10pm on Thursday and spent almost 90 mins for dine-in, including us there are total 8 customers and the shop still very empty. So, I'm no sure whether people going on weekend need to do reservation?
The specialty for Japanese steamboat is having the pot individually.
